Dear colleagues,



Are you interested in interdisciplinary research? Have you reflected on its theory and practice? Have you always wanted the opportunity to explore what makes interdisciplinary research successful?



On the occasion of its 60th anniversary in 2028, the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung, ZiF) will turn its attention towards its own institutional mission by making interdisciplinarity the object of reflection – and by curating a one-time research group on the “Practices of Interdisciplinary Research”.



To participate in this special fellow group, ZiF offers up to 10 individual fellowships to researchers whose work contributes to the study of interdisciplinary research. Fellows will spend six months in residence at ZiF (October 2028 – March 2029), pursuing their individual research projects while also engaging in intensive intellectual exchange on interdisciplinarity with the other group members. ZiF is located at the edge of the Teutoburg Forest in close proximity to Bielefeld University and provides a beautiful and vibrant research environment for this special research endeavor.
