PressMint: Interoperable Corpora of Historical Newspapers

On Wednesday, 14 October 2026, the workshop "PressMint: Interoperable Corpora of Historical Newspapers" will take place in Vienna.

The workshop focuses on key aspects involved in building a multilingual, comparable, and interoperable collection of historical European newspaper corpora from the early 20th century. Topics include data preparation and conversion, linguistic processing, validation, and the representation of enriched information within the corpus. The local organisers will also present ongoing work on the Austrian corpus.

The workshop will be held in a hybrid format. We would be particularly happy to welcome participants on site in Vienna and to provide an opportunity for direct exchange and discussion.
