    Call for papers: Beszédkutatás – Speech Research, Hungary

    Beszédkutatás – Speech Research Conference, Hungary, 2023

    The Department of Phonetics of the Hungarian Research Centre for
    Linguistics, Hungary (1068 Budapest, Benczúr u. 33.) cordially invites you
    to attend the Beszédkutatás – Speech Research conference.

    The date of the conference is 23–24th February 2023.

    Invited speakers:
    Gyuris, Beáta (Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics)
    Liker, Marko (University of Zagreb)
    Sztahó, Dávid (Budapest University of Technology and Economics)

    The languages of the conference are English and Hungarian.

    Talks will be 15 minutes long. Talks include all areas connected to speech
    research, for example:

    - articulatory, acoustic, perceptual studies;
    - realisations of phonological phenomena in speech;
    - prosody, syntax;
    - native language, second language acquisition, bi- or multilingualism;
    - discourse analysis;
    - sociophonetics;
    - speech disorders, speech pathology;
    - speech technology: speech recognition, speech synthesis;
    - forensic phonetics;
    - construction of speech databases.

    Abstracts should contain between 400 and 500 words (one page maximum). The
    submission process will be administered through EasyChair. In case of
    acceptance, abstracts can be extended to two pages and an additional page
    for figures and references.

    Deadline of abstract submission: 24th October 2022.
    Notification of acceptance: 30th November 2022.
    Deadline for revised abstracts (2+1 pages): 13th January 2023.

    Registration fee: 15 000 HUF, PhD, MA and BA students: 7000 HUF. Fees are
    also payable in euros.
