*Zum Buch:*
Autor opisuje różne opozycje logiczne i językowe mające wpływ na wybór 
między czasownikiem dokonanym a niedokonanym, prefiksy czasownikowe oraz 
klasy akcjonalne sytuacji. Za podstawową funkcję aspektu dokonanego 
uznaje się wyrażanie zdarzeniowości oraz budowanie narracji w tekście.
Autor podaje dane frekwencyjne czasowników niedokonanych i dokonanych w 
poszczególnych formach gramatycznych i interpretuje je zgodnie z 
przedstawioną teorią. Wśród form zawartych w książce są konstrukcje 
nieopisane do tej pory w polskich podręcznikach gramatyki, np. 
quasi-perfekt (konstrukcja typu mam zrobione). Odrębnie omawia użycie 
aspektu niedokonanego w języku prawnym, w tym w kodeksie karnym, 
wyjątkowe na tle innych języków słowiańskich. W podsumowaniu proponuje 
algorytm użycia aspektu w polszczyźnie.
Dodatek zawiera zarys historii aspektologii, opis aspektu w polskich 
słownikach oraz nowe propozycje znakowania tej kategorii w korpusach.

The author describes various logical and linguistic oppositions which 
influence the choice between a perfective and imperfective verb, verb 
prefixes and aspectual classes. The description of events and the 
narrative are considered the main functions of the perfective aspect. 
The use of the imperfective aspect in legal texts, such as criminal-law 
codes, is also discussed in the work.
