*HSCR19 - The 3rd International Workshop on the HISTORY OF SPEECH 
COMMUNICATION RESEARCH

13-14 September, 2019 in Vienna, Austria*

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers that are 
interested in the history of speech communication research. A special 
focus of the workshop will lie on the interdisciplinary nature of speech 
communication research (SCR), especially on the relation between science 
and technology that can be exemplified through the history of SCR. We 
are also interested in methods of speech communication research (SCR) 
from the 20th century, which are no longer the state-of-the-art but of 
historic relevance.

        Submission Guidelines

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another 
journal or conference.

We invite the submission of full papers that should be no more than ten 
pages long. Each paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers.

  * How can knowledge transfers between science and technology be
    exemplified by the history of speech communication research?
  * What is the relation between SCR and artistic practices?
  * How was speech communication research influenced by the medical
    sciences?
