[PLing] Call for submissions: Rhythm: Development, Evolution and Cognition

*Rhythm: Development, Evolution and Cognition* is a satellite workshop of the "11th International Conference on the Evolution of Language", and will be held on March 21st, 2016 at Tulane University, New Orleans. The workshop aims at bringing together researchers from a number of disciplines increasingly focusing on rhythm: phonology, child development, music cognition, animal behavior, comparative psychology, neuroscience, anthropology and archeology.

Rhythm: Development, Evolution and Cognition will include plenary talks by John Iversen and Kazuo Okanoya, and contributed presentations. Short abstracts of max. 2 pages (including references) should be sent to andrea.ravignani at gmail.com by January, 21st 2016 (23:59 CET) with “Rhythm Workshop Submission” as subject. Confirmation of submission will be given. Abstracts should be submitted as .doc files following the standard Evolang format (templates available at https://www.usm.edu/gulfcoast/evolang-2016/submissions).
