I'm not sure how I could handle that in pca. As the relevant patches can 
only be extracted manually from the bundle there's not much pca can do 
about it. I wouldn't want to start including patch lists in pca and 
modify the /etc/release manually.

Remember - this special kind of patch bundle is tied to the Solaris OS 
update releases. A new bundle will be published when Solaris 10 9/10 (I 
guess it's pretty sure now that this will be the next release) appears.

Personally, I don't care about the modification to /etc/release. I try 
to run the most recent OS update on most machines, and the others aren't 
patched with these special bundles. Remember that you have to install 
the Recommended Cluster after the Update Cluster anyway. If a security 
audit requires the /etc/release mark, just extract the patch from the 
bundle and install it. patchadd will even tell you about the missing 
requirements.
