Hi,

Correct. With any stable release, stable and development are exactly the
same. The development version then starts to differ, until a new stable
version is released and the two releases are the same again.

Half-right. The other half is that I simply never thought of the
possibility to use a different pcaurl in the two releases :) It makes
sense, in a way. On the other hand, I know of people who normally only
use the stable version and only temporarily run one certain development
release for a fix they need. For those it still makes sense to have
pcaurl set to the release channel. Otherwise they will suddenly start to
follow the development channel.

I think it's a good idea, but I'm unsure as well. Besides the above
change in behaviour, I'd have to get some procedure in place to ensure
the correct setting of pcaurl in the two releases. This is especially
problematic during the time windows where stable and development release
are the same, as they are really links to the same file as of now.
Thanks,
Martin.
