  Thanks Rajiv and Ron - wrappers are useful, and that's certainly one
way to go.  I could also privately modify pca.  On the other hand, our
goal is to simplify our patch process, which is already rather complex.

  I want to remove as much customization and interactive post-patch
review as I can.  So adding another script to the mix probably wouldn't
be my first choice, under those circumstances.

  For our use case, I don't want to suppress any of the default pca
output, I only want to add the running summary.  It would be handy to
collect both at once, so we don't have to check any other logs (even if
we tend to use syslog).
