[pca] failing patch downloads

Hi Martin,

Yip, I remember the previous conversation we had on this (and indeed the 
one that I had internally to get SunSolve to keep 
http[s]://sunsolve.sun.com/patchdiag.xref as a plain text file).

I'll have to ask around and see what I can find out.

It seems a little coincidental that this version of patchdiag has not 
been updated after moving to the new SunSolve release.

I'll get back to you when I know more.
