So there is a patch that has not been downloaded to
/net/imageserver/install/pca/patch/patches (this is done offline by a cron)
and I know how to fix that my just downloading the patches for the packages
installed on this server.
I don't want the patch repository writable and I don't want to run a proxy
at the moment.

Shouldn't this set the return status to a non zero value.

I would like to run a -I in a script to check that I'm good to patch the
current server with the xref I have specified.
What is the recommended way to ensure that pca is good to go $? seems
insufficient.
