[pca] Ways to match Pattern

All,
I have been using "pattern" in my pca.conf file to exclude certain
patch/package like shown below. Is there an other way or better way to match
multiple patterns if for example I had to exclude 30 to 50 pattern patches
or packages from being patched or listed?

*pattern=!CDE|Dt|Studio|Motif|X11|wbem|Apache|ypserv|font
server|kcms_server|GNOME|IIIM and X|PGX32|ldap*
