Hello,
I am seeing some strange behaviour from pca and am unable to explain the it
in its entirety.
01. SunOS npapp1 5.10 Generic_127111-09 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise
02. Solaris 10 3/05 s10_74L2a SPARC

03.
$ ./pca --xrefdir=. -l missing | grep ^1 | tee -a Oct.07.2008.lst
117350 29 < 53 RSB 239 SunOS 5.8: kernel patch
121081 -- < 08 --- 225 Disable Transport Agentry for Sun Update Connection
Hosted EOL
121563 -- < 02 --- 943 SunOS 5.10: Sun Update Connection Registration,
version 1.0.3
122231 -- < 01 --- 966 SunOS 5.10 Sun Connection agents, transport
certificate update
Why is it that I am seeing a Solaris 8 patch on a Solaris 10 server and that
too a bad patch?
04. Is it because of this?
Patch: 117350-29 Obsoletes: 112031-01, 112170-02, 113301-02, 113683-02,
116897-01, 116901-02, 117004-01 Requires: 108528-29, 117000-05
Incompatibles: Packages: FJSVhea
Obviously the SysAdmin has installed Fujitsu headers on a Sun Enterprise
E3500. But should this software effect the inclusion of kernel patch from
Solaris 8 which will not be installed, even if we tried it.
Please advise. Thanks
