hello all,
i don't know if this feature exists in pca, here is the context:
- http://sunsolve.sun.com/show.do?target=patchpage, there is a pulldown
list above "Latest Patch Update: /To ensure the correct functioning of
the patching utilities on your system, stay up to date on the following
patches:"
For example, for solaris 10, i have to do:
./pca 119254 119317 119683 121296 122034 122630
...
Patch IR CR RSB Age Synopsis
------ -- - -- --- ---
-------------------------------------------------------
119254 59 = 59 RS- 33 SunOS 5.10: Install and Patch Utilities Patch
119317 01 = 01 R-- 999 SunOS 5.10: SVr4 Packaging Commands (usr) Patch
119683 -- < 02 --- 999 Obsoleted by: 118822-23 SunOS 5.10:
lib/svc/bin/svc.configd Patch
121296 01 = 01 R-- 999 SunOS 5.10: fgrep Patch
122034 -- < 01 --- 970 Obsoleted by: 118815-03 SunOS 5.10: nawk patch
How is it possible to have, in a single command, a sort of "follow-up"
to know if patches that have obsoleted other patches are present on the
system?
Thanks in advance,
gerard
