[pca] Missing packages while installing patches

Hi all,

I’ve been using the great pca.pl tool since couple of weeks and I have the
following question while running pca.pl:

It says:
Patch IR CR RSB Age Synopsis
------ -- - -- --- ---
-------------------------------------------------------
119757 04 < 12 RS- 69 SunOS 5.10: Samba patch

 and then at installation time:

“The following requested patches have packages not installed on the system
Package SUNWsmbaS from directory SUNWsmbaS in patch 119757-12 is not
installed on the system. Changes for
package SUNWsmbaS will not be applied to the system.”

The patchdiag line has the following info regarding that patch:

119757|12|Mar/19/08|R|S| |
|10|sparc;119042-09;119254-51;121901-01;125077-02;|SUNWsmbaS:11.10.0,REV=200
5.01.08.05.16;SUNWsmbac:11.10.0,REV=2005.01.08.05.16;SUNWsmbar:11.10.0,REV=2
005.01.08.05.16;SUNWsmbau:11.10.0,REV=2005.01.08.05.16;|SunOS 5.10: Samba
patch

The package SUNWsmbaS is certainly not installed but these ones, they are:
system SUNWsmbac samba - A Windows SMB/CIFS
fileserver for UNIX (client)
system SUNWsmbar samba - A Windows SMB/CIFS
fileserver for UNIX (Root)
system SUNWsmbau samba - A Windows SMB/CIFS
fileserver for UNIX (Usr)

Is it correct that pca tries to patch even one of the listed pkg’s is not
installed?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Josep
