[pca] full patches

The READMEs are where Sun puts any special instructions.  From Sun's stand point it is expected that you (we) read each and every one.
 
In general I ignore the "to get the complete fix" note unless the reason I'm patching is to fix that problem.
 
I find using PCA to create an HTML to the READMEs very useful.

In the special notes in patches, there are often notes that say "to get the complete fix for..., please install the following patches:"  How do folks generally handle those?  Does anyone go through each and every note and make sure those patches are all installed and if not, why not?  And what about the notes for those patches, do you do the same for each one?  I have co-workers on each side, one saying don't worry about those ones, the other saying you need to follow through on them all.  Well, that makes my patch preparation take up at least an entire day reading every little readme and verifying every extra patch.  Is there a compelling reason to do so?
