[pca] Pca Applying unnecessary patch

[Cromwell, Ray, VF-IE]

Hi , 
   I applied a patch bundle to a Solaris 8 box and it included a patch
for Solaris 9 .
The box in question is part of a Sun cluster . 

It applied patch 114176-05 
114176 -- < 05 --- 999 Sun Cluster 3.0: OPS Core Patch for Solaris 9 

There is no mention of this patch in showrev -p and uname -a is -- >
SunOS joebloggs 5.8 Generic_117350-38 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880

If I place showrev.out/pkginfo.out/uname.out in a directory and run 
./pca -H -f . 

This patch is generated in the report . Why ? 

When the patch was applied to the system it would not boot . Had to
remove . 
Looking on Sunsolve it says there is a version of this patch for Solaris
8 -- >

111857 -- < 09 -S- 999 Sun Cluster 3.0: OPS Core Patch for Solaris 8 

Must ask the questions . 

Why did the OS install a patch for Solaris 9 .
How did pca decide this patch was needed
