[pca] init 6 versus reconfig

Hi Cory,
Typically when you install a patch cluster or other software that requires a reconfig reboot it will place a file in the root "/" called "reconfigure", which on a reboot will force a reconfiguration. You can accomplish the same thing by using touch /reconfigure.

Hope that helps!

I see a lot of patches that want a reconfiguration reboot. As far as I
know, the only way to do that is to run "boot -r" from the "OK" prompt.
However, when pca installs some of these patches, the last message is
something like "Reconfiguration reboot required/recommended (init 6)".

Am I missing something here? Shouldn't you have to do an "init 0" and
then "boot -r" instead of "init 6"?

Corey
