„Stein’s Method, Malliavin Calcus and Central Limit Theorems“

Abstract: We present some recent methods for proving central limit 
theorems on Gaussian fields. They rely
on a combination of Malliavin calculus and Stein's method and provide 
rather simple conditions
which are equivalent to a standard central limit theorem. We briefly 
explain the main concepts
and demonstrate some examples.

„On center stable manifolds in nonlinear dispersive equations”

Abstract: We will review some recent work on the existence of center 
stable manifolds for the nonlinear wave and Schroedinger equations. We 
will consider focusing equations which admit soliton solutions. We will 
work in a regime where these solutions are global  but unstable. In 
fact, small perturbations can blow in finite time. We demonstrate 
conditional asymptotic stability by restricting the data to lie on a 
finite co-dimension manifold containing the soliton manifold.
