[Pluslucis] Weltraum-Wettbewerb für Schulen

Sehr geehrte Lehrkräfte!

Ich bin Koordinator für den deutschsprachigen Raum des Odysseus 
Wettbewerbs. Dieser richtet sich vorwiegend an Schülerinnen und Schüler 
gestaffelt nach 3 Altersgruppen. Teilnehmen kann man, wenn man ein 
Weltraum/Astronomie bezogenes Projekt einreicht. Es winken schöne Preise 
wie Ipads, Bücher, Reisen etc.


Einreichtermine:

  * Skywalkers (Alter 7-13): 1st September 2015 to 31st March 2016
  * Pioneers (Alter 14-18) and Explorers (Alter 17-22): 1st September
    2015 to 15th January 2016

Contest for Skywalkers provides pupils from 7 to 13 years old an 
opportunity to think about space exploration, by creating a picture 
(drawing, painting, mosaic, photograph, drawing made with computer 
design programs etc.) that relates to one of the

following themes:

i) Solar System and Space Science

ii) Europe in space

iii) Human beings on Mars

iv) Astrobiology-The search for life ln the universe.

The winners will win IPads with space related e-books and applications, 
rocket models and medallions.

Pupils aged 14 to 18 years old are invited to express their inspiration 
from space exploration and to have fun through the preparation of a 
project on one of the themes of the contest.

Contestants are competing ln teams of two or three members with a 
teacher as a coach and can develop and submit their project in any of 
the 24 official EU languages.

The members of top teams will win computerized telescopes, paid trips to 
the locations of the semi-finals and the final, Odysseus contest 
memorabilia and a dream trip to the Guiana Space Centre.

Odysseus II Contest for the Explorers category (17-22 years) is designed 
to give undergraduate students of any discipline, an opportunity to 
showcase their creativity and academic excellence, by preparing a 
project on a broad spectrum of scientific and technological challenges. 
The overarching

1heme of the challenge ls Space Utilization and the submitted entries 
could focus on space missions, which pave the way for the provision of 
services crucial to contemporary life.

Top students will win a wealth of prizes, including paid internships to 
the European Space Agency and to aerospace industries and a dream trip 
to the Guiana Space Centre.
