<p>Liebe Kolleg:innen,</p>

<p>die Redaktion der Wiener Linguistischen Gazette plant für das Jahr 2026 ein besonderes Heft – die 100. Ausgabe der WLG! Zu diesem Jubiläum möchten wir ein Sonderheft gestalten und würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Sie mit einem Beitrag dabei wären.</p>

<p>Willkommen sind unterschiedliche Beitragsformate – gerne auch essayistische oder persönliche Texte mit Bezug zur WLG, ebenso wie retrospektive Überblicke, wissenschaftliche Artikel oder kreative Beiträge, die sich mit der WLG und ihrer Geschichte auseinandersetzen. U.a. können wir uns darunter vorstellen:</p>

<ul>

<li>die Wiederaufnahme oder Aktualisierung eines (gerne auch eigenen) Artikels oder Themas aus früheren Ausgaben,</li>

<li>einen Kommentar zu einem früheren Beitrag,</li>

<li>ein Update zu einem Projekt, das einst in der WLG vorgestellt wurde,</li>

<li>(auch sprachwissenschaftliche) Auseinandersetzungen mit der Publikationspraxis oder dem wissenschaftlichen Schreiben über die Jahre,</li>

<li>Anekdotisches bis Historisches zur Gründungsgeschichte, Wendepunkten und Interna aus der Redaktionsarbeit</li>

<li>oder andere Ideen, die mit der WLG in Resonanz treten.</li>

</ul>

<p>Natürlich sind auch andere Themen und Formate (bspw. Fotos) willkommen – wichtig ist nur, dass der Beitrag zum Charakter dieser Jubiläumsausgabe passt.</p>

<p>Wir würden uns freuen, erste Entwürfe bis Jänner 2026 zu erhalten.</p>

<p>Dear colleagues,</p>

<p>In 2026, the Wiener Linguistische Gazette will celebrate its 100th issue – and we would be delighted if you would consider contributing to this special anniversary edition!</p>

<ul>

<li>We welcome a variety of contribution formats for this issue: reflective or personal essays related to the WLG, retrospective pieces, scholarly articles (ideally with some connection to the WLG), or more creative contribution which deal with the history of the WLG. Possible ways of engaging with the Gazette's past, present and future might include:</li>

<li>revisiting or updating an article or topic previously published in the WLG,</li>

<li>commenting on a past contribution,</li>

<li>offering a follow-up on a project that was once featured in the Gazette,</li>

<li>(linguistic) contributions on historical publication practices and academic writing as connected to the WLG</li>

<li>accounts (from the anecdotal to the historical) on the founding history and turning points as well as from the editorial 'backstage'</li>

<li>or other ideas that resonate with the WLG's history.</li>

</ul>

<p>Of course, we are also open to other suggestions (formats, topics...) – the main goal is to celebrate and reflect on the Gazette's journey in fitting ways.</p>

<p>We kindly ask for first drafts to be submitted by January 2026.</p>
