<div>The Phonetics Cluster of the Acoustics Research Institute (ARI), an interdisciplinary research institution of the <span style="font-size: 12pt;">Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading non-university research facility, is offering a </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Student

<div>The tasks mainly involve the annotation of Austrian German audio data in the phonetics software Praat, assisting <span style="font-size: 12pt;">the PhD students of the project, Nathalie Elsässer and Hendrik Behrens-Zemek. The exact scope of the position </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">will
be discussed individually. The work time is expected to be 8 – 16 hours per week. Prior knowledge of acoustic </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">phonetics, phonetic transcription and the software Praat (<a href="https://praat.org/" class="OWAAutoLink">https://praat.org/</a>)
is desirable. At least a basic knowledge </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">of German (for the project) and English (for communication at the institute) is required.</span></div>
