Abstract

This lecture will explore how white
nationalist influencers known as tradwives use the conventions of
women’s language to frame nationalism as a romantic idyll.
Analyzing both YouTube and Instagram of tradwives “Blonde in the
Belly of the Beast”, Brittany Sellner, and and romance and sex
manuals by Helen Andelin, Marabel Morgan, and David Duke it
analyses how hyper-feminine aesthetics and the metapragmatics of
romance and sex guides are used for a racist, white nationalist
metapolitics.
