<p><span style="font-family: "Tahoma",sans-serif;" lang="DE">Jan Odijk
ist Professor für Sprachtechnologie an der Universität Utrecht. Seit
vielen Jahren ist er neben seinen Aktivitäten als Forscher um
den Aufbau digitaler Infrastrukturen in den Geisteswissenschaften
bemüht. Er ist der Koordinator des niederländischen CLARIN-Projekts und
hat federführend am Aufbau des CL@RIAH-Projekts mitgewirkt, das in den
Niederlanden zu einer Verschränkung der Aktivitäten von CLARIN (Common
Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure) und DARIAH (Digital
Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) geführt hat. Durch
CL@RIAH werden Historiker, Linguisten und Medien-Forscher in die Lage
versetzt, Forschungsdaten gemeinsam zu nutzen und innovative neue
Methoden anzuwenden. Durch die Verfügbarkeit von Daten und neuen
Methoden eröffnen sich </span><span
style="font-family: "Tahoma",sans-serif;" lang="DE">den digitalen
Geisteswissenschaften </span><span
style="font-family: "Tahoma",sans-serif;" lang="DE">neue
Forschungsperspektiven und neue Erkenntnishorizonte von
gesellschaftlicher und wirtschaftlicher Relevanz.</span><span lang="DE"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: "Tahoma",sans-serif;" lang="DE">Prof.
Odijk ist Gast des Österreichischen Zentrums für Digitale
Geisteswissenschaften an der ÖAW, welches mit 1. Jänner 2015 gegründet
wurde, um den Aufbau digitaler Infrastrukturen für die
Geisteswissenschaften in Österreich voranzutreiben. Der Vortrag ist
Teil einer Reihe, die interessierten Forscherinnen und Forschern in
Österreich Entwicklungen in den digitalen Geisteswissenschaften
näherbringen soll.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
