[PLing] Panel discussion -- Digitalization & language: How much streamlining can we afford?

Dear colleagues,


as part of our WWTF project DIGILINGDIV<https://digiling.univie.ac.at/digilingdiv/>, there will be a panel discussion on Monday, June 15, 17:00-20:00 (Hofburg, Schreyvogelsaal) in which we discuss the following question:


Digitalization & language: How much streamlining can we afford?


Our guests are experts from the field:

  *   Stephanie Godec (Head of Department Education, Austrian Commission for UNESCO (ÖUK))
  *   András Kornai (Professor of Mathematics, Budapest Institute of Technology)
  *   Britta Schneider (Professor of English Applied Linguistics, University of Vienna)
  *   Hannes Werthner (Professor of Computer Science and co-founder of the Digital Humanism initiative, TU Wien)


After a brief project report and the discussion, there will be snacks and drinks.
