Dear colleagues,

we are pleased to announce the fourth edition of our 'Syntax, Semantics,
and Pragmatics' workshop, which will take place as part of the ÖLT 2026
(50th Austrian Linguistics Conference) November 20-21 in Salzburg,
Austria. This workshop aims to create opportunities for linguists to
discuss their original, unpublished work related to any of the fields
mentioned in the workshop title as well as at the interfaces.

In addition to the workshop's general session (which does not specify
any thematic restrictions beyond those just mentioned), this year's
workshop will host a special session on phenomena related to 'Redundancy
and Deficiency' in the context of the Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) of
the (almost) same name. Both sessions are open for submissions!

We invite submissions for oral presentations of theoretical and/or
empirical contributions investigating the syntax, semantics, or
pragmatics of natural language phenomena. The workshop is not limited to
a particular researched language, and thus we welcome contributions
dealing with linguistic phenomena from any natural language.

For more information on abstract submission guidelines, please see the
call for abstracts:
https://linguistlist.org/issues/37/2677/

Submission deadline: 15 September 2026 , 23:59 CEST
Notification of decision: 22 September 2026
Conference: 20-21 November 2026

We look forward to seeing you in Salzburg in November!
Best,
Madeleine Butschety and Melanie Loitzl
