Dear colleagues, dear friends,

We are pleased to invite you to the international conference
*“Aromanian on the Path to a Literary and Standard Language”*,
which will take place on *30–31 October 2025*at the *Austrian Academy of 
Sciences (ÖAW)*, Sonnenfelsgasse 19 and Dr. Ignaz Seipel-Platz 2, 1010 
Vienna.

The conference brings together scholars from various disciplines to 
discuss the historical development, linguistic structures, and cultural 
dynamics of Aromanian, a language at the crossroads of the Balkans and 
the Romance-speaking world.

Experience the vibrant world of the Aromanians! On *31 October 2025 at 
17:30*, the***Association of Aromanians/Vlachs (Armãnj)*from Veria will 
bring traditional songs, lively dances, and captivating rhythms to the 
ballroom of the ÖAW. The evening opens with an introduction to Aromanian 
folklore by *Thede Kahl,*followed by a concert with *Fotis Karaviotis 
and his band*.
Join us for an authentic, spirited, and unforgettable celebration of the 
cultural heritage of this unique Balkan community.
