Dear fellow linguists,
We are delighted to draw your attention to two exciting events taking place next year, and we warmly invite you to contribute and participate.
DM Meets Nano II:
The second edition of DM Meets Nano will take place from 7 July to 9 July 2026 at the Department of Czech Language, Masaryk University (Brno).
This workshop brings together two major theoretical approaches in formal linguistics - Distributed Morphology and Nanosyntax - and will feature a rich program including talks, poster sessions, and tandem keynotes. We are very pleased to announce that the following scholars have agreed to deliver keynote talks:

Guido Vanden Wyngaerd (KU Leuven) & Marijke De Belder (Utrecht University)
  *
Karen De Clercq (LLF, CNRS – UMR 7110) & Laura Grestenberger (University of Vienna)

Morphopalooza Summer School:
Preceding the workshop, we will host the Morphopalooza Summer School, also taking place from 29 June to 3 July 2026 at Masaryk University.
The aim of Morphopalooza is to spark enthusiasm for morphosyntax. The summer school will offer five one-week courses covering topics in morphosyntax in general and Nanosyntax in particular, including interfaces with semantics and phonology. Each course will run from Monday to Friday, with daily 75-minute sessions. There will be no parallel sessions.
The summer school is primarily aimed at early-career researchers, including advanced MA students, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers.
While the full line-up of lecturers is still being finalized, we are delighted to have already confirmed:
