Dear Colleagues,

We would like to draw your attention to a conference that we are
organizing: The Vienna Conference on Word Order, Headedness and
Linearization (WOHL2026).

This conference (hosted by the Department of Linguistics and organized
by Professor Kriszta Eszter Szendrői and myself) will bring together
linguists working on linearization, headedness and word order from
various perspectives: theoretical, experimental, psychological,
typological and diachronic. The conference will include a main session
(July 1 and 2) and a one-day workshop (July 3) dedicated to truncated
clauses: deficient clauses which, by their very minimality, have the
potential to offer new empirical evidence bearing on linearization,
headedness and word order.

We invite you to have a look at the call for papers below and consider
submitting an abstract (or two):

https://wohl2026.eu/

Also, we would very much appreciate it if you could spread the news of
this conference to those possibly interested.

With many thanks,

Tamás Halm (for the organizers)
