The rapid developmentofdigital 
humanitieshasledtothediversificationofthefieldwitha widearrayoftoolsand 
methods.However, linguisticaspectsremaina problemin DH 
practicebecausemostlanguagesbeyondEnglish, and 
particularlynon-Latinscripts, arestill significantlyunderrepresentedand 
under-resourced.My talkwill discusstherealitiesand 
specificchallengesofthelifecycleofa multilingual DH 
projectprimarilythroughexamplesfromEast Asian studies. These will also 
serveascasestudiespointingat broaderissuesthatmultilingual DH asa 
phenomenonrevealsabouttheimportanceoflanguagesensitivity, diversity, and 
equalaccessin DH. In addition, thepresentationwill also 
showcaseemerginginitiatives aimingat raisingawarenessofand 
remedyingthesechallengesin ordertoreorientAnglo- and 
West-centricaspectstowardsa moreinclusive DH field.
