3rd Graz-Vienna Speech Workshop: Connecting with Health Sciences.

Call for Contributions/Participation

Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to invite you to the 3rd Graz-Vienna Speech Workshop, organized this year by the

Medical University of Vienna, Austria. The workshop will take place: April 23–25, 2025
Lecture Hall 5, General Hospital of Vienna (AKH)

While welcoming contributions from all areas of speech science and technology, we aim to spotlight perspectives on health sciences and applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

●  Speech communication sciences

●  Engineering-driven methods, including AI and emerging technologies

●  Inter-/multidisciplinary approaches spanning phonetics, linguistics, speech-language pathology, psychology, data science, imaging, and digital health.

This workshop provides a unique platform for diverse contributions through:

●  Oral plenary talks: Present your latest results or works-in-progress and enjoy in-depth discussions

●  Practical sessions in smaller groups: Showcase data, tools, hands-on methods, or discuss experimental designs

How to Participate

To propose a contribution:

  1.  Submit the title of your proposed contribution and indicate the type (plenary or practical)
by January 16, 2025.
  2.  Send your submission via email to philipp.aichinger at meduniwien.ac.at.
  3.  Abstracts (~200 words) will be required in March 2025.

To attend without presenting:
Email philipp.aichinger at meduniwien.ac.at by January 16, 2025 (limited seats available).

Admission is free!

However, participants are responsible for covering their personal expenses (e.g., travelling, accommodation, food, beverages, leisure activities).
