[PLing] Traurige Nachricht: Richard Schrodt

Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,

Am 22. November ist ao Univ.Prof. i.R. Dr Richard Schrodt nach kurzer schwerer Krankheit verstorben.

Er war unserem Institut sehr verbunden; tatsächlich war er der erste Assistent von Professor Wolfgang Dressler, und ich selbst arbeitete gleichzeitig 1972 mit ihm am Institut als WiHi.

Er hatte sich, abgesehen von seinen Arbeiten zur althochdeutschen Syntax, mit sehr viel anderen Themen der allgemeinen und angewandten Sprachwissenschaft, der Philosophie, der Semiotik u.v.a.m. beschäftigt und in all diesen Bereichen viel publiziert. Außerdem war er lange Zeit Vorsitzender der Rechtsschreibkommission (bis 2016).

Das Begräbnis fand im engsten Familienkreis statt.

Mit Richard habe ich einen sehr engen persönlichen Freund viel zu früh verloren
