Dear PLings,
what a nice 1st birthday party this was tonight, thank you!

And here's a (fairly short notice) invitation for all those of you interested in working on corpus data
with sophisticated and user-friendly concordancing tools:

There will be a workshop held by Mike Scott, author of WordSmith Tools, at the English Department
this coming Monday, 26 January, from 4pm (sharp) to ca 5:30. This will take place in our largest
seminar room and so we have space for additional participants, i. e you, and also for students you
may want to bring along / who you may want to pass this invitation on to.

The workshop will be run in English, but Mike would be happy to discuss matters also in
Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Mike Scott has arranged a free temporary licence of WS Tools for us that you can get and use right
away (whether you come to the session or not) - for details see the attachment.

Best wishes,
Barbara Seidlhofer
