We found that servers with old firmware would not reboot when applying 147440-xx (up to 147440-19). After no help from Oracle on the matter I removed the patch and regained access to the system. Oracle’s response is that because I am not patching with the patch cluster the patches are being installed in the wrong order. Even if I ignored the history of 147400 I don’t believe that’s true. I’ve been using PCA for years and haven’t had a problem till now.
