Thanks Drew!

So, just to confirm; this issue is introduced in 143645-03?
Should that be 143645-13 by any chance?
Is so, then I think the affected revisions are 143645 revs 13, 14,
15, 16 & 146232 revs 08, 09, 12, 13.

I'll get a README note added to these patches to serve as a heads-up
to customers.

Does the following sound about right:

Please do not apply this patch to systems running iSCSI that use Challenge Handshake
Authentication Protocol (CHAP), as CHAP is not compatible with this patch revision.

The fix for the underlying problem (CR 7031995) is delivered in patch 146232-14.
Please install patch 146232-14 in the place of this one on systems running iSCSI
that are using CHAP.

I've followed up on patch 146232-14 and it is due to be released
later today, so should hit MOS overnight.

Best,

Been lurking here for a while, but have been having great success
with pca (thanks Martin). Have handled 1000+ systems in under 2
months w/ lots of different pca configs (based on security
requirements).

After everything we saw with 144500 / 501-19, I thought I'd share
another heads up for everyone.

First off, my problems with the above were solved with another
patch from Oracle.

The next patch only impacts about a dozen machines in this
environment, but if you're running iSCSI with CHAP, take note.

Bug to the above was introduced in 143645-03 (CHAP stops working).
Bug is perpetuated by 146232-13 which obsoleted 143645-16

Bugs on file at Oracle: 7031995 and 7127565

Official fix ftrom Sun / Oracle is due in 7 - 10 days (approx end
of February) in the form of 146232-14

Workaround is to turn off CHAP for the time being.

Just a heads up for everyone.
