All of the patches that have disappeared have been for "housekeeping"
reasons, and IMO this is actually an improvement in patchdiag.xref.<br>
We have endeavored to ensure that no dependency chains have been broken
in the cleanup, but if anyone spots any problems with the "cleaned"
patchdiag.xref, please let me know and I'll investigate.<br>

At a quick glance, it seems that it affects patches for old Solaris
versions (up to Solaris 7), patches for old unbundled software and
nearly all of the over 5000 unbundled "PTF/RMLS" patches. There are too
many diffs to check all of them manually, but I'm pretty sure that no
patches for reasonably recent software is affected. <br>

Maybe Don can provide more detail, on which groups of patches have been
removed and why? <br>

BTW - a quick comparison of the runtime of a typical PCA command shows
a speedup of about 40%, due to the reduced number of patches to
analyze. <br>
