FYI: I received both of your posts.
I would expect the "-list" option to list missing dependencies. It depends on the patchdiag.xref file which has been known to contain errors.
Here's an example:
/var/tmp/pca --list 150400-01
Using /var/tmp/patchdiag.xref from Dec/08/14
Host: pdkermit (SunOS 5.10/Generic_150400-05/sparc/sun4v)
List: 150400-01 (1/0)
Patch IR CR RSB Age Synopsis
------ -- - -- --- --- -------------------------------------------------------
150400 05 < 18 RS- 24 SunOS 5.10: Kernel Patch
/var/tmp/pca --list 150400
Using /var/tmp/patchdiag.xref from Dec/08/14
Host: pdkermit (SunOS 5.10/Generic_150400-05/sparc/sun4v)
List: 150400 (2/48)
Patch IR CR RSB Age Synopsis
------ -- - -- --- --- -------------------------------------------------------
150510 -- < 03 R-- 24 SunOS 5.10: /var/svc/manifest/system/sysidtool.xml patch
150400 05 < 18 RS- 24 SunOS 5.10: Kernel Patch
(Note: the first run is using "150400-01" and the second is using "150400")
Do you suspect a problem?
Glen

Subject: [pca] patch dependencies
Hi,
Why did I get an e-mail back saying this is a suspicious email. It is a legitimate e-mail.
Will this script list all patch dependencies for a given patch?
Thanks,
Lenny
