Ok, let's hope it was a one-time issue.

Basically a good idea, and yes, you're not the first one to have it :)

Back then we found out that there is (was) a simple problem with the 
CHECKSUMS file: It missed checksums for a lot of patches, and some of 
the checksums were wrong - go figure!

At some time there were plans to include the ckecksum into 
patchdiag.xref, which would have been a great thing. Alas, it never 
happened.

P.S.: I just read that Oracle kills the Sun Ray product line 
(https://blogs.oracle.com/virtualization/entry/important_information_about_oracle_desktop). 
What a pity!
