Hi Jose,

Similar problems show up from time to time, usually with "unbundled"
software (which doesn't belong to the core Solaris OS). One reason is
that the unbundled software uses *one* package version no matter on
which Solaris OS it is installed, but independent patches are produced
for each OS release.
Another problem involved here are errors in the patch metadata. When
looking at e.g. patch 143324-04 in the patchdiag.xref file, one can see
that it lists multiple architectures ("i386" and "sparc"), while it
really is just for i386/x86.
In both these cases, PCA relies on the faulty patch metadata. Usually,
when this is reported to me, I put a fix for these special patches
directly into PCA. I've done exactly that for the affected Sun
Management Center patches.
If possible, please download the current development release of pca
(20100901-01) and try it again on your server(s). The patches for
Solaris 8/9 and 10x86 should not be listed anymore.
Martin.
