I ran into this and spent some time tracking it down:

Short answer: a bug in the patch doesn't like boot environment names that are too long.
I never did log a bug on it.

Subject: [pca] 137137: Unsupported root filesystem
I'm trying to patch a Solaris 10 alternate boot environment with 137137-09 but it always fails.
"Checking installed patches...
Executing prepatch script...
Unsupported root filesystem:
The prepatch script exited with return code 1."
I have end up using 'luupgrade -t' for that one patch and then doing the rest with PCA.
An ideas on how to get that patch working with PCA?
Alan
