;
;   /var/log/kern: ... unix: NOTICE: unrecognized ioctl 0x69534331

I just installed the latest set of patches on a V210 here and saw the
same behaviour - reboot after patching failed and the following
message:

Oct 14 19:00:12 gin iscsi: [ID 454097 kern.notice] NOTICE: unrecognized
ioctl 0x69534331

However, it isn't the kernel patch because that's the one of the set
that didn't apply here because I still had a zone running!

Perhaps it's the iSCSI patch since that's the source of that message.. it
could be unrelated and just because the new kernel hasn't been booted yet
though..

Installing 141444-09 (4/13)

** All non-global zones must be in the halted state before installing
** the specified patches. Halt all non-global zones and then
** execute patchadd again.

Could not successfully create environment for 'deferred activation
patching'.

Failed (exit code 1)
Install Summary : 13 total, 12 successful, 0 skipped, 1 failed
