No curl on these systems. If there is a proxy, then it is performed at the network level. The clients don't specify a proxy.

As another test of your account you could try downloading with curl.  If it works then your account is functioning and you have some other configuration issue, possibly involving a proxy (that was the issue I ran into).  If it doesn't work, then the curl.log file may have debug info that you did not get with wget.
