The key is to keep and freeze a copy of the patchdiag.xref file, and 
make pca use that. Like that, you get exactly the same state on every 
machine you patch.

Look up pca's xrefdir and nocheckxref options. You can also keep the 
frozen xref file on you local web server, and use pca's xrefurl option 
to make the pca clients use that file.
