No, I don't see any good reason for that. Back when I started with pca I 
chose wget because it's what I knew best. Later Sun started to include 
wget in Solaris, so it was a good choice. Supporting curl as well won't 
have any advantage, but it will take a lot of time for testing it 
against sunsolve.sun.com (which seems to be quite picky, and I already 
had to implement special cases for different wget versions in the past).

I have thought about using perl's libWWW instead of wget, but it would 
make installation of pca more complicated, as installing additional 
modules into Sun's perl isn't easy.
