Yes, it's patch 112960-63 and it causes gui logins to get all mucked up.
I filed a support case last week and Sun's response was "the workaround
is to remove the patch." There is a CR that supposedly explains all
this, but I couldn't find it. Look for CR 6750206. They are supposedly
working on a fix, but I haven't seen anything as of yet.
Good luck,
Russ

Subject: [pca] cde/dtlogin patch ?
Hi,
About two weeks ago we've noticed that our two solaris 9 boxes have
issues with dtlogin. Once a user (even root) inputs their username and
hits ok, dtlogin resets asking for the username again. Users can login
through SSH or through text based console however.
Has anyone else had issues with dtlogin recently? I'm wondering if cde
or dtlogin was patched recently and broke something. Anyone have any
ideas? Thanks for your help!
