Hi,

I get these kind of errors when patching often:

Installing 112945-46 (1/24)
Unzipping patch
Checking files for safe patch installation
failed file verification:

ERROR: /etc/init.d/init.wbem
    permissions <0744> expected <0600> actual
ERROR: /etc/rc2.d/S90wbem
    pathname does not exist
pathname not properly linked to <../../etc/init.d/init.wbem>
ERROR: /usr/sadm/lib/smc/policy/smcconsole.policy
    modtime <04/14/02 11:21:08 PM> expected <11/19/03 04:19:31 PM> actual
file size <858> expected <964> actual
file cksum <10264> expected <19899> actual

Or something similar where files/perms/links aren't kosher to proceed with a
patch. I think this is related to using the safe switch, is that correct?
Whats the best way to go about patching? It seems this safe switch is a
pain to use. Here is what I'm doing right now weekly:

pca -sin --patchdir=/scratch --patchurl=
http://patchproxy.blah/pca/pca-proxy.cgi -xrefurl=
http://patchproxy.blah/pca-proxy.cgi missingrs

What I'm aiming for is a mostly hands off weekly patching procedure to patch
up my sol9 and sol10 boxes with security fixes. Thanks a bunch Martin :)
