So for some reason it seems to try to mount all locally mounted 
filesystems (even lofs) to /var/run/.patchSafeMode/..., but sometimes 
fails to create the mount-point directory before the mount, thus 
failing. Now *why* this happens - no idea. If you have a chance (and 
support) you might report the failure to Sun.
