Looks like Sun's handing out a patchdiag.xref with truncated lines:

ERROR: Can't parse input from /patches/patchdiag.xref:
  103697|05|Mar/19/99| |S|O| |2.5.1_x86|i386;103641-35 SunOS 5.5.1_x86: /sbin/su, /usr/bin/su and

I've tried downloading it a second time to no avail.

If I constructed my egrep statement correctly we're talking about 1345 lines that are incorrectly formatted (only have 9 of the required 10 "pipe" (|) separated fields).

At least only three of them are not marked as Obsolete:

113260|01|Nov/21/07| | | | |8_x86|i386.i86pc;108529-14
114147|01|Dec/09/02| |S| | |8_x86|i386;108529-16
120319|01|Aug/17/05| | | | |10_x86|118844-11

On an unrelated note: I see that Sun reports patch 127127-11 as in the current Solaris 10 Recommended and Security cluster, but when I actually download and extract it, it is not in there...

I keep hoping I'll start my quarterly work on patching our Solaris systems and NOT come away disappointed in Sun again. Not today...

Cheers,
