[pca] 120011, 122660 Patch weirdness

FYI.

I have faced the same issue and I used same workaround as you i.e to
proceed with manual patching first.

 

Hugues.

 

1)       Install manually 122660-10

2)       Reboot -- -rv

3)       Install manually 125547-02

4)       Install manually 120011

5)       Reboot -- -rv

6)       Then I proceed with the rest of the patching using "pca"

Hello,

Most of my Solaris 10 servers are U3 and we are not yet prepared to go
to U5. Also we do not install the latest patches, we only install
patches which are at least 45 days old.

On most of my Servers I see this issue:  I cannot install 120011 as it
depends on 125547. 125547 depends on 122660, which is Obsoleted by
120011.

Which does not make any sense. Since that patch is Obsoleted, PCA will
not pick up that patch and install its dependents thus the failing to
patch the server with 120011. 

For now, I am manually adding these patches before proceeding with the
actual patching.

If you have seen or solved this issue, please share your solution.
