You could do a -V in your command line to see what is happening.

Subject: [pca] disappearing java patches??!!

All,

Using pca version 20081024-01. My home directory is NFS mounted
onto all of my Sun boxes, and I run pca from there (as root) so
that if any patch is downloaded to my homedir, it is there for
other machines that might also need the same patch.

So... Four big java patches just came out:

118666 17 < 18 RS- 2 JavaSE for business 5.0: update 17 patch
(equivalent to JDK 5.0u17
118667 17 < 18 RS- 2 JavaSE for business 5.0: update 17 patch
(equivalent to JDK 5.0u17
125136 11 < 12 -S- 2 JavaSE for business 6: update 11 patch
(equivalent to JDK 6u11)
125137 11 < 12 -S- 2 JavaSE for business 6: update 11 patch
(equivalent to JDK 6u11), 6

I've noticed that every one my Suns pulls down a fresh copy
to my homedir -- and then the patch vanishes after installation.
Is this some pca feature, or something (annoying) buried in the
patches themselves???
